This wooden floor, and dwarfed-sized escape hatch, would look more at home on a naval vessel. But Bangkok’s public bus fleet still includes these antiques from a less congested era. The fare is cheap, but so are the amenities. No air con or plush seats to cushion the bumps. All aboard!
